Job description

As the Learning and Development Manager for our global organization, you will drive the Organization Learning and Talent strategy. You will extensively leverage learning technology and digital platforms such as LMS, LXP and content libraries to support business in capability building. You will also craft and implement learning campaigns aimed at promoting widespread adoption of the Aptia learning ecosystem, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization. You will play a key role in driving growth and development across diverse teams in the US, UK, Portugal, and India. You will also manage variety of internal and external stakeholders in your endeavor to achieve our objectives

Learning Needs Diagnosis

  1. Examine diverse inputs and requirements, and conduct a comprehensive needs diagnosis to align business needs with the appropriate skill and competence gaps.
  2. Identify and prioritize learning needs within the organization
  3. Design tools/forms/processes to conduct diagnosis systematically at scale

Content Curation and Development

  1. Identify, contextualize and curate relevant learning content for specific target audiences
  2. Design learning pathways to meet learning needs on the organization’s Learning Experience (LXP) platform
  3. Propose solutions for addressing knowledge gaps and performance-related issues

Branding and Communication

  1. Design and drive campaigns and other branding activities to drive learning adoption & content consumption
  2. Implement brand-building efforts to enhance the organization’s visibility and awareness of various learning initiatives

LMS/LXP Management

  1. Understand and utilize all functional capabilities of LMS and LXP for driving learning initiatives and enhancing user experience
  2. Address issues in LMS and coordinate with HR Operations and LMS providers for updates and troubleshooting
  3. Employ LMS/LXP analytics and reporting tools to monitor learner progress and adjust learning paths
  4. Stay updated with current and emergent trends in adult educational technologies

Data Analysis and Reporting

  1. Collect, analyze, and interpret learning data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement
  2. Prepare regular reports and dashboards on the effectiveness of learning initiatives
  3. Generate actionable insights from learning analytics data to inform decision-making

Global Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with teams across locations to understand regional/country learning needs and ensure consistent global learning experiences
  2. Tailor training content to align with cultural and regional nuances

Job requirements

  • Familiarity with the following tools and technologies is critical:
  • LMS such as Workday LMS, Skillsoft Percipio and Cornerstone
  • LXPs Degreed and Edcast
  • Content Libraries such as Linkedin Learning, Skillsoft and Havard Business Publishing
  • Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Google Data Studio, Power BI or another equivalent tool
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager in a global organization is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and drive innovation in the learning and development space.
