We are currently seeking a Benefits Administration Sales Professional (SP) to join our dynamic team at Aptia. This role is vital for expanding our customer base and helping us maintain our competitive edge in the market.

As a Sales Professional, you will act as a strategic partner & collaborate closely with the U.S. Growth Team. The SP combines deep technical expertise in benefits administration with sales and communication skills to support the sales process. Their primary objective is to generate new business opportunities. A Benefits Administration Sales Professional is responsible for selling and promoting benefit administration services to clients.

Job requirements

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and prospecting potential customers: Sales professionals need to identify potential customers and reach out to them to generate leads. This involves researching and understanding the target market, identifying key decision-makers, and initiating contact through various channels such as outreach to Channel Partners, coordination with Sales Support Team and SDR’s, and direct sales calls to prospects.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships: Sales professionals need to build strong relationships with prospects to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Conducting sales presentations and demonstrations partnering with Sales Solution Architect and other technical resources. Sales professionals need to effectively communicate the features and benefits of the products or services they are selling.
  • Negotiating and closing sales: Sales professionals need to negotiate with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements. This may involve discussing pricing, terms, and conditions, and addressing any objections or concerns raised by the customer. The ultimate goal is to close the sale and secure the customer's commitment.
  • Meeting sales targets: Sales professionals are responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets set by the company. This requires a proactive approach to sales, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize and focus on high-potential opportunities.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and product knowledge: Sales professionals need to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' offerings. This includes continuously updating their product knowledge and understanding the value proposition of the products or services they are selling.
  • Reporting and documentation: Sales professionals are required to maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline. This information is used for reporting purposes and to track progress towards sales targets.
  • Collaborating with internal teams: Sales professionals often work closely with other departments such as marketing, customer service, and product development. This collaboration is essential for providing feedback from customers, coordinating marketing campaigns, and addressing customer issues or concerns.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, applied to group settings.
  • Ability to work under pressures of time constraint.
  • Identify areas for improvement and effectively drive appropriate change within business.
  • Partner with business leadership, national and market leadership teams to develop strategic direction.
  • Strong client relationship skills: initiate, cultivate and maintain ability to directly influence client decisions at the buyer/leadership level.
  • Ability to negotiate advantageous financial and service contract terms
  • The Benefits Administration SP will need to be, or get licensed for Life & Health
  • Experience selling, implementing, and/or servicing HR/payroll systems or benefits plan systems.
  • Experience in the employee health and benefits consulting / strategy field.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills Experience in client management, client issue resolution, and facilitating business processes discussions.
